Mustafa Ziko scored his fifth international goal for Egypt, putting the Pharaohs ahead against South Sudan and matching the tally of Rami Rabia and Ahmed Sayed Zizo, who also have 5 goals for the national team.

The first half of the match between Egypt and South Sudan, held at Juba National Stadium as part of the second round of qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, ended with the Pharaohs leading by a single goal scored by Mustafa Ziko in the 35th minute.

The match started at a fast and intense pace from both teams, with South Sudan pushing forward to attack and trying to shoot at Mustafa Shobeir's goal, while the South Sudan goalkeeper saved a clear scoring opportunity from Omar Marmoush in the third minute.
