Officially.. Mahrez joins Bounjah at Al-Shamal
Al-Shamal Club announced on Wednesday the signing of former Algerian international Riyad Mahrez on a free transfer.
This marks a new chapter in the career of the former Manchester City star, who will join his teammate Baghdad Bounjah at the Qatari club.
Mahrez arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, at the beginning of October to finalize his move to Al-Shamal.
The negotiations resulted in the official announcement of the deal, which comes after the end of his stint with Al-Ahli Saudi, through a post on Al-Shamal's page on the platform “X”.
The Qatari team is counting on Mahrez's experience to shine both locally and in Asia, especially since the former captain of the “Greens” won the AFC Champions League title in the last two editions with Al-Ahli Saudi.
His left foot made history… and our ambition writes the next chapter.
