Omar El-Saai, a player for Al Ahly, scored the equalizer for his team against Ugandan side Kitarra in the 67th minute of their match in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
El-Saai's goal came from a shot inside the penalty area, marking his first goal for Al Ahly in all competitions since joining the team from Ismaily.
El-Saai has played 16 matches with Al Ahly since his transfer to the club, having spent last season on loan at Al Masry, before returning to the Red Castle at the start of the current season.
El-Saai hopes to capitalize on his first goal to enhance his chances of participating with Al Ahly in upcoming matches and to continue contributing to the team in both domestic and continental competitions.
Al Ahly enters the match with the ambition of returning with a result that gives them an advantage before the return leg, scheduled for October 25 at Cairo International Stadium, in order to secure qualification to the next round of the tournament.
The coaching staff hopes to take advantage of the players' readiness and implement tactical instructions to achieve a positive start to Al Ahly's journey in the CAF Confederation Cup.
