Nicolas Jackson finally scored his first goal of the season in the Premier League. The Senegalese forward contributed to Aston Villa's victory over Tottenham (3-2) on Saturday by netting the Villans' second goal.

After Johan Manzambi opened the scoring in stoppage time of the first half, Aston Villa extended their lead thanks to Nicolas Jackson. In the 67th minute, the former Chelsea player perfectly finished a move initiated by Manzambi to make it 2-0.

This goal allows Jackson to finally get off the mark in the league this season. The Senegal international had not managed to score in the Premier League since the start of the 2026-2027 campaign. His goal at Tottenham rewards his presence in attack and provides him with a significant first milestone in Aston Villa colors.

Unai Emery's men then increased their lead with a goal from Emiliano Buendía in the 79th minute. Despite two late goals from Tottenham, scored by Conor Gallagher and Jan Paul van Hecke, Aston Villa managed to maintain their advantage to win 3-2.
