Pyramids FC secured a 2-0 victory over Al Qanah in the opening match of the Cairo Capital Cup.

Pyramids FC took a commanding lead with a 2-0 victory over Al Qanah, with Algerian Ahmed Nadhir Ben Bou Ali scoring the first goal in the 16th minute of the first half. Abdul Rahman Magdy added the second goal in the 40th minute during their match at the Air Defense Stadium, part of the first round of the Cairo Capital Cup.

Pyramids dominated the first half thanks to the impressive performance of Ahmed Nadhir, who was a significant influence on the game, with the crossbar denying him a second goal in the 31st minute. Dodo Al-Jabass also stood out despite being absent from matches for a while, alongside the strong performances of Ahmed Atef Qatta and Mahmoud Zalaka.

On the other hand, Al Qanah relied on counter-attacks, with Hazem Abu Sennah posing a threat to the goal of Mahmoud Gad, Pyramids' goalkeeper, along with the duo of Mohamed Sadiq and Mhab Sami.
