A source close to Ramadan Sobhi has reported that the Swiss Federal Court has rejected the appeal against the four-year ban imposed on him, confirming the penalty related to the doping case and tampering with a drug test sample.
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued a decision on November 26, 2025, to suspend Ramadan Sobhi for four years after confirming his violation of anti-doping regulations due to tampering with a doping sample. The player had appealed to the Swiss Federal Court to overturn this decision.
Suspension of Ramadan Sobhi's Contract with Pyramids
According to Youm7, Ramadan Sobhi's contract with Pyramids is currently suspended due to the ban. A source revealed that the player's suspension in the doping case led to the suspension of his contract with the club at the request of FIFA, which prohibits suspended players from engaging in any football-related activities during the duration of the ban.
The source explained that since the ruling in the case was issued, Ramadan Sobhi is no longer effectively linked to Pyramids, especially since their relationship is contractual. With the issuance of the suspension decision in the doping case, the contract has been automatically suspended for the duration of the penalty.
Ramadan Sobhi was under contract with Pyramids until 2028, but the doping crisis and the resulting four-year suspension have halted the contract's validity throughout the duration of the ban.
