Following an intensive training period in Lubumbashi, the U20 team of the Democratic Republic of Congo is moving on to a new phase of its preparation. During their stay in this mining city, the players under coach Raoul Shungi participated in three friendly matches with mixed results: a solid initial victory against Aigle Volant de la Katuba (3-1), followed by two defeats against Lubumbashi Sport (1-3) and Eagles Academy FC de Joli Site (0-1).
After completing this first training cycle, the team is flying today to Dakar to begin a second stage of a few days on Senegalese soil. This phase in West Africa will allow the technical staff to fine-tune the final tactical adjustments and improve the group's cohesion before entering the official competitions of the season.
At the end of their stay in Dakar, the U20 Leopards will head to Cameroon to participate in the UNIFFAC tournament, scheduled in Yaoundé from October 10 to 24, 2026. The goal will be to turn the lessons learned from these friendly matches into significant results in order to secure qualification for the continent.
