Red Bull keeps Isack Hadjar on board with Max Verstappen for the 2027 F1 season.

Red Bull has announced that it will maintain its current Formula 1 driver pairing in 2027, with Isack Hadjar remaining alongside Max Verstappen.
Hadjar advanced to the team in 2026 following a debut season with sister squad Racing Bulls, and has made a strong impression with his pace in what has traditionally been a challenging second seat at Red Bull.
The French driver, who is set to return in Azerbaijan this weekend after missing three races due to injury, will continue for another season in 2027 next to Verstappen, who recently secured a contract extension through 2030.
"We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Isack," said Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies. "Since joining us at the year's start, he has been excellent both on and off the track, especially considering this is just his second season in Formula 1, which made the decision to extend his contract straightforward."
"From the outset, Isack fully engaged with the team, dedicating every moment at the factory with his engineers to enhance the car, always keen to learn and evolve. You could see from that first weekend in Melbourne that he managed the transition with impressive poise and earned his spot in this seat."

Even after missing Zandvoort, Monza, and Madrid, Hadjar still occupies eighth place in the standings, buoyed by a first Red Bull podium in Monaco, which added to his first podium in 2025, along with a run of seven straight top-six finishes in what has generally been F1's third or fourth fastest car.
"I am genuinely excited to continue with Oracle Red Bull Racing," the 21-year-old expressed. "There are so many skilled individuals at the factory, and I recognize the honor of competing for such an extraordinary team alongside a four-time world champion like Max.
"From the day I signed, I committed myself to the team, and with the backing of Laurent and everyone in Milton Keynes, I’ve been able to prove their trust in me. I’m always striving to listen, learn, and push myself further every day, which only heightens my enthusiasm for what’s ahead."
Racing Bulls has yet to announce its own driver lineup for 2027, with current drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad having both shown promise this season, while the team also has junior driver Nikola Tsolov ready to step in.
