Egyptian player Rawan Al-Arabi and Malaysian Joachim Chua claimed titles at the 2026 Nash Cup, held in London, Ontario, Canada, after both secured victories in their final matches.

Rawan Al-Arabi Wins First Title Since 2022

Rawan Al-Arabi, the fourth seed who previously ranked seventh in the world, clinched the women's title by defeating Malaysian Yashmita Jadishkumar 3-1 in a match that lasted 39 minutes. The set scores were 9-11, 11-9, 11-3, 11-4.

Al-Arabi was aiming to win her first title since 2022, while Jadishkumar hoped to achieve the biggest success of her career.

Both players eliminated Canadian opponents in the semifinals, with Al-Arabi overcoming Zeina Zain, while Jadishkumar triumphed over Canadian Holly Noghton, the top seed in her country.

Joachim Chua Claims Sixth Title

In the men's category, Malaysian Joachim Chua secured the title after defeating Canadian David Bailargeon 3-1 in a match that lasted 41 minutes. The set scores were 11-6, 11-3, 7-11, 11-1.

Bailargeon, the top seed in Canada, was seeking to win the Nash Cup for the second time, having previously won the tournament in 2023, while Chua aimed for the biggest victory of his career and his second title this year.
