Sharif Abdel Fadil, the general coach of Egypt's U20 national team, expressed his great happiness after the Pharaohs won the North African Championship and officially qualified for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations following their 2-0 victory over Algeria.
Abdel Fadil stated in remarks to ON Sport that the coaching staff focused on an important morale aspect before the match, emphasizing the glorious victories of October during the technical lecture to enhance the players' fighting spirit and determination.

The general coach of the national team made sure to send a special message of appreciation, saying: "I would like to thank the Ismailia fans for their tremendous support throughout the tournament, and I also thank the board of the Football Association and all the players, both starters and substitutes, because what everyone showed reflects the spirit of a united team."
He pointed out that this fan connection and collective cooperation were among the most prominent factors for success and maintaining the same strength until the end of the competition.
Abdel Fadil explained that fighting spirit and determination are inherent traits of the Egyptian people, noting that the coincidence of the tournament with the October anniversary was an additional motivation that was focused on to reach the desired goal.
He concluded his statements by affirming that luck and results served the team until they reached the podium, stressing that the ambition will not stop at the North African Championship, but the coaching staff and players are looking to achieve more titles and successes in upcoming competitions.
The Egypt U20 team defeated Algeria in the match that brought the two teams together today, Tuesday, in the fifth and final round of the North African qualifiers for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations.
Mohamed Salah, a player for the Egypt U20 team, scored the opening goal against Algeria in the 21st minute of the match, and Anas Roshdy doubled the lead with a second goal in the 81st minute, securing the Pharaohs the match points.
Egypt tops the qualifiers table with 9 points from 3 wins and 1 loss, while Morocco is in second place with 7 points and has also secured qualification alongside the Pharaohs.
