Tunisian taekwondo athlete Adam Selmi won the gold medal in the -63 kg category at the International Tournament in Qatar, while Firas Katoussi secured silver in the -87 kg category.
This was revealed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, highlighting the exceptional performances of the two Tunisian athletes. Adam Selmi outperformed his competitors brilliantly and delivered an impressive final, triumphing over an Azerbaijani fighter who won silver at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
As for Firas Katoussi, his final was halted while he was leading by a round, as he was forced to withdraw due to an injury, according to the same source.
“A global recognition for our champions… This new achievement strengthens Tunisia's position among the world elite in this discipline,” stated the ministry.
