The Basketball Federation appoints Mohamed Mohram to review and reorganize the federation's regulations.

The Egyptian Basketball Federation, led by Amr Moussili, has assigned legal advisor Mohamed Moharram, a board member, to conduct a comprehensive review of all federation regulations and to reorganize and update them in line with the requirements of the upcoming phase.

This review aims to ensure that the federation's regulations comply with applicable international laws and standards, particularly the regulations of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), while also keeping up with developments at both regional and international levels. This will contribute to achieving greater clarity, discipline, and fairness in the application of the regulations.

Regulations Under Review

At the forefront of the regulations to be reviewed is the sanctions and disciplinary code, which will ensure the development of a comprehensive accountability and discipline system, clearly defining violations and penalties, while considering the proportionality between the offense and the punishment. It will also enhance guarantees for investigation, defense, and organization, in line with international standards and practices.

The Egyptian Basketball Federation confirmed that this step aligns with its ongoing vision to develop the Egyptian basketball system, increase governance efficiency, enhance discipline, and update the frameworks and regulations governing operations, in accordance with the developments in the sport and the requirements of the upcoming phase.

Discussion of Regulations Before Final Drafting

The federation indicated that once the review and redrafting of the regulations are completed, they will be presented and discussed with the clubs to exchange opinions and perspectives before reaching a final decision, ensuring the integration of views and the protection of the rights of all parties involved in the Egyptian basketball system.
