The beach soccer national team departs today for Angola to play the first leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The national beach football team departed for Angola early Thursday morning, in preparation for the highly anticipated first leg match scheduled for Sunday, October 11, as part of the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations, which will also serve as a qualifier for the World Cup in Brazil next year.

The Pharaohs hope to secure a positive result away from home, which will make it easier to clinch a qualification spot before the upcoming second leg match in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria at the Alexandria Stadium on Sunday, October 18.

Pharaohs Squad and Coaching Staff

Ahmed Abdel Razek, the head coach of the national beach football team, announced the official squad heading to Angola, which includes 14 players: Abdel Aziz Sabah, Mohamed El Sayed, Mostafa Ahmed, Mostafa Sasa, Haitham Mohamed Atef, Hassan Mohamed Hassan, Abdel Rahman Hassan El Shafie, Ahmed El Shahat, Karim Said, Mohamed Abdel Nabi, Ahmed Hassan, Ismail Bahgat, Hossam Paulo, and Abdel Rahman Reha.

The accompanying technical, administrative, and medical staff includes Ahmed Abdel Razek as head coach, Mostafa Samir as assistant coach, Yasser Abdel Khalek as goalkeeper coach, Adel Mahfouz as administrative manager and acting head of the delegation, Ragih El Mamdouh as media coordinator, Dr. Mohamed Akmal as team doctor, Abbas Hassanein as physiotherapist, and Islam Shaker as mission officer.
