Wydad defender Ferreira returns to Morocco

Brazilian defender Guilherme Ferreira of Wydad Athletic Club has returned to Morocco from Brazil to complete the final stage of his rehabilitation program after a long period of treatment and recovery due to an injury sustained last season.

“Hesport” obtained information from a source close to the player indicating that Ferreira has finished his individual treatment and rehabilitation phase in Brazil and is about to continue his program in Morocco, where he will soon be with his teammates daily, aiming to regain his fitness and gradually return to competitive action.

The same source added that the player is continuing his recovery with high morale and wishes to complete the remaining part of the rehabilitation program without any setbacks, noting that current estimates suggest that the beginning of the new year could be a potential time for Ferreira's return to the pitch, depending on the progress of his condition and his response to the designated program.

Ferreira was injured during Wydad's match against KAC Kénitra in the 19th round of the professional league, leaving the field in pain due to severe knee discomfort. Medical examinations at the time confirmed a tear in his cruciate ligament, after which he underwent surgery and began a long journey of treatment and rehabilitation.
