Mahmoud El Khatib, the president of Al Ahly SC, has warned the first team players against complacency in the upcoming period, emphasizing that wearing the red jersey carries significant responsibility for each player. This comes after the team drew 3-3 with Al Qanah in the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Al Ahly fell into the trap of a draw against Al Qanah in the match held on Wednesday evening, failing to maintain their lead and secure a victory, which resulted in the loss of two points in the title race, at a time when player sanctions are increasing.

During a ceremony honoring the handball teams of Al Ahly, both men’s and women’s, El Khatib made sure to deliver a clear message to every player wearing the team’s jersey, stating that loyalty to the club is not limited to being present on the field but requires dedication, commitment, and giving their utmost effort in every match.
The Al Ahly president said in his speech: "I would like to conclude my remarks with a sentence and a message to any player wearing the Al Ahly shirt but lacking loyalty; they should blame no one but themselves."
He added: "In the upcoming period, any player wearing the Al Ahly shirt who is not loyal should blame no one but themselves," a message that confirmed that any shortcomings towards the club will have consequences in the near future.
