Ahmed Suleiman, a member of the board of directors of Zamalek SC, announced the death of Nasr Ibrahim, the former star of the team, who passed away this morning at the age of 67.

Ahmed Suleiman wrote on his Facebook account: "May God grant peace in the death of Captain Nasr Ibrahim, former Zamalek player.. May God have mercy on him."

Nasr Ibrahim is considered one of the most prominent stars of Zamalek's golden generation during the 1980s, where he delivered outstanding performances in the white jersey.

His Beginnings and Upbringing

Nasr Ibrahim was born in Manshiyat Naser, Cairo, on August 29, 1959, and began his distinguished football career with Zamalek's first team in the 1977-1978 season, having been promoted from the club's youth team while still under 19 years old. He spent 11 seasons within the walls of the White Castle, scoring goals that remain etched in the memory of Zamalek fans.

His Most Notable Goals with Zamalek

Nasr Ibrahim scored 28 goals while wearing the Zamalek jersey, including 19 goals in the league, 3 in the Egypt Cup, and 6 in African competitions. His most notable achievements include a brace against Zambian side Nkana in 1984, another brace against Sudanese club Al-Hilal in 1985, and a famous goal against Algerian side JS Kabylie in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League in 1984, which helped the White Castle reach the continental final for the first time and win the title, embracing the African trophy.
