The National Center for Organ Transplant Promotion (CNPTO) is preparing to commemorate World and National Organ Donation Awareness Day.
This sporting and civic event, under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, and the mobilization promises to be unprecedented across the country, according to a statement from the Regional Health Directorate of Tunis.
The event "The Green Strides" will feature a large gathering on the Corniche of La Marsa for Greater Tunis (including the governorates of Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous, and La Manouba), which will occur simultaneously in the 20 other governorates of Tunisia.
With the strong slogan "Running Together for Organ Donation," 24 governorates will resonate in unison to convey a message of hope: to raise awareness, give, and save lives.
The CNPTO calls on the general public, athletes, and all citizens to mobilize massively for this wave of generosity, in order to promote and strengthen the culture of organ donation in Tunisia.
