CR Belouizdad Honors Hussein Salmi

The management of CR Belouizdad honored their former player, Hussein Salmi, who is currently active with Najm Ben Aknoun, yesterday, Friday.

The 33-year-old midfielder was honored during a friendly match held between the two teams yesterday at the 20 August 55 Stadium, which ended in a 3-3 draw.

The "Siarbi" management posted a picture of Salmi with the youth players holding the club jersey, with the caption: “In appreciation of his efforts and recognition of what he contributed while wearing the colors of CR Belouizdad, player Hussein Salmi was honored during the friendly match against Najm Ben Aknoun.”

It is worth noting that Salmi holds a special place in the hearts of the Belouizdad fans, as he was among the few who refused to leave the team during its toughest times, despite the offers he received every season.

The Jezel native spent about 9 years with the "L'Akiba" team, during which he won 7 titles, including 4 league championships, 2 Algerian Cups, and a Super Cup title.

Salmi left CR Belouizdad in January 2026 to join Chabab de la Saoura, in a stint that lasted only 6 months, before joining Najm Ben Aknoun last summer.
