The president of the Handball Federation: We would like to express our gratitude to Mansoura for the excellent organization of the "Elite" tournament, and we are striving to expand the reach of the sport.

Khaled Fathi, the Chairman of the Egyptian Handball Federation, expressed his admiration for the success of the two tournaments held in Mansoura over four consecutive days. He emphasized that the excellent organization and enjoyable atmosphere of the competitions reflect the effort put in by the handball team and the federation's board to make the elite tournaments a success.

Fathi stated, "I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to all members of the handball family and the federation's board for their hard work in presenting the tournaments in such an honorable manner. I especially thank Dr. Amr El-Adl, a board member and supervisor of the tournaments, who made significant efforts from the preparations until the end of the competitions, ensuring the best environment for the teams and players."

He added, "Amr El-Adl worked diligently to host such a large number of teams in Mansoura, which contributed to achieving the goal of holding the tournaments and providing the opportunity for as many players as possible to enjoy the competitions and gain experience in a unique sporting atmosphere." He continued, "I was very pleased with the satisfaction and happiness we observed among all participants, and what made me even happier was the enjoyment of the players, teams, and technical and administrative staff during the four-day competitions, which we consider one of the key indicators of the tournament's success."

Fathi pointed out that one of the most beautiful moments of the tournaments was the participation of several prominent Egyptian handball stars, who made an effort to be present among the players and youth, celebrating with them and taking photos, which added more enjoyment to the competitions and had an important motivational impact on future champions.

He said, "I was very happy to see stars from our national teams and handball champions among the young players, as the presence of these stars serves as a model and inspiration for the new generations, giving them a strong incentive to continue training and dream of representing the national teams in the future."

Fathi noted, "During the tournament, we saw the great star Ahmed El-Ahmar, Hassan Yosri, Hussein Zaki, and Ali Zain, the star of the Egyptian national team and Hungarian club Veszprém, who won the World Club Championship, along with several other handball stars. Their presence and interaction with the players had a wonderful effect on the tournament's atmosphere."

He continued, "Such scenes are what we want to see in Egyptian handball, where a young player sees their favorite star in front of them, talks to them, encourages them, and takes a picture with them, making them feel like part of the large handball family, which enhances their love for the game and belonging to it from a young age."

A Special Thanks to Gezira El-Ward Club

Fathi extended his gratitude to MP Tarek Abdel-Hadi, Chairman of Gezira El-Ward Sports Club in Mansoura and a member of the Senate for Dakahlia Governorate, for his significant support of the tournaments.

He said, "I would like to thank and appreciate MP Tarek Abdel-Hadi for his great efforts and support for the tournaments, and for his commitment to hosting such a large number of teams at Gezira El-Ward Club, providing all the resources that contributed to the success of the competitions in a fitting manner."

The federation's president confirmed that hosting the tournaments in Mansoura aligns with the federation's board vision to expand the practice of handball in various governorates. He stated, "Our goal is for Egyptian handball to spread in all directions, north and south, including Upper Egypt, and to reach as many cities and governorates as possible, allowing our children the opportunity to practice handball and enjoy its atmosphere."

Fostering a Love for Handball and Discovering Talents

Fathi emphasized that the primary goal of holding these tournaments goes beyond mere competition, explaining, "We want to instill a love for handball in the hearts of young generations from an early age, to instill in them the noble sporting values, alongside enjoying competition and discovering talents early on, shining a light on them and putting them on the right path to be the future of the national teams."

The handball federation president concluded his statements by affirming that the success of the Mansoura tournaments represents a new step in the federation's plan to promote the sport, expand participation, and discover talents, noting that such events will continue to be organized in various cities and governorates across Egypt, serving the future of Egyptian handball and creating new generations capable of continuing the path of achievements.
