RS Berkane secures an important victory in Liberia.

RS Berkane returned with an important victory from Liberia, defeating Sierra Leone's Star Sports Academy 2-0 in the first leg of the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, held today at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Stadium in Paynesville.

The Berkane team delivered an impressive first half, dominating the match and translating their superiority into two goals scored by standout player Osama El Malioui.

El Malioui opened the scoring for RS Berkane in the 14th minute, taking advantage of his team's strong start, before returning in the 45th minute to add a second goal, giving the Moroccan representative a comfortable lead before halftime.

In the second half, the Berkane team focused on protecting their lead while cautiously dealing with the Sierra Leonean team's attempts to reduce the deficit and get back into the game.

Despite the chances created by both teams in the second half, there was no change in the scoreline, allowing RS Berkane to maintain their 2-0 lead until the final whistle.

The return leg will take place on Saturday, October 24, at the municipal stadium in Berkane, where the Berkane team will have the opportunity to secure their qualification for the next stage and continue their journey in the CAF Champions League.
