Table Tennis National Team Aims for Continental Gold
The Algerian national table tennis team, both men and women, left the country on Friday, heading to Tangier to participate in the 2026 African Championship.
The Algerian teams, men and women, will begin their journey in the African Championship for seniors, scheduled from October 18 to 25, aiming for better results than those achieved in the 2025 edition.
In the previous championship held in Tunisia from October 12 to 19, 2025, Algeria won 4 medals.
The men's team secured a silver medal in the team competition, while the women’s team earned a bronze medal, in addition to a silver in men's doubles and a bronze in mixed doubles.
The 2026 edition holds additional significance as it serves as a qualifying event for the individual World Championship set to take place in Kazakhstan in May 2027.
