The Egyptian national wheelchair handball team, led by coach Wael Abdel Aati, secured a victory against Lithuania with a score of 2-0 in the second round of Group D at the fourth World Championship held in Spain from September 16 to 20.

The set scores were "10-4, 10-8," marking Egypt's first win in the global tournament after an unexpected loss to Chile the previous day, with a score of 2-1.
This result qualified the Pharaohs for the quarter-finals of the World Championship, bringing their points total to three.
The team arrived in Spain last Monday and played two friendly matches on Tuesday against India and Australia.
Egypt is participating in the tournament as the defending champion from the previous edition held in Cairo in 2024, where they won against the United States with a score of 2-0.
The delegation includes Dr. Khaled Samir as head of the delegation, Wael Abdel Aati as coach, Mohamed Farag as assistant coach, Karam Morsi as team manager, and Dr. Mahmoud El-Naggar as team doctor.
Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa, head of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, is also accompanying the delegation after receiving a special invitation from the International Handball Federation.
