New coach Ibrahim Hamdani announced the national team's roster today, Thursday, for the international break from September 21 to October 6, filled with surprises.

Hamdani's list saw the absence of some players who participated in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup, while others returned who had been sidelined under former coach Vladimir Petkovic.

In goal, Hamdani decided to exclude Osama Ben Boud and Luka Zidane, calling up instead Abdelatif Ramadan and Kylian Belhazouk.

In defense, international retiree Aissa Mandi was missing, and the surprise was the absence of Rafik Belghali, who shone in Italy's Serie A, alongside Mohamed Amin Togai.

On the other hand, Saadi Redouani, the left-back from CR Belouizdad, and Ahmed Toubah, who recently joined Le Havre in France and has been away from the "Greens" for a long time, were called up, as was Sohaib Nayer.

In midfield, the list excluded Hicham Boudaoui, Ramez Zerrouki, Yassine Titrawi, and Houssam Aouar.

Meanwhile, Haimad Abdelli and Adel Aouchiche returned to the national team's plans, along with Adam Zergane, who made his presence felt in the new roster.

Beloumi, Chayekha, and Kabal return to the "Greens"

The attack lineup for the "Greens" saw several changes, with the absence of retired captain Riyad Mahrez. Hamdani decided to exclude Faris Ghajemis due to a lack of competition, while names that had been absent for a while, such as Bachir Beloumi, returned.

The duo Amin Chayekha and Ilan Kabal also returned to the "Greens," which was expected given the impressive performances of the former in Norway and the latter in France with Paris FC.

Kabal was called up for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations before being dropped from the 2026 World Cup roster for technical reasons, just like Mounsef Beghrar, who participated in the continental tournament but missed the World Cup.

Beloumi is preparing to return to the "Greens" after nearly two years away, with his last call-up in November 2024, while Chayekha missed both the Africa Cup and the World Cup, only participating in the training camp last March before the global event.

25-player roster for the September training camp:

Goalkeepers: Mastil Melvin, Abdelatif Ramadan, Kylian Belhazouk
