The youth national team returned to Cairo after participating in the Friendship Tournament held in Switzerland.

The Egyptian national team for the "2009 generation," led by Walid Darwish, a member of the Egyptian Football Association's board and supervisor of the team, arrived in Cairo this evening, Sunday, after participating in the International Friendship Tournament in Switzerland as part of their preparation plan for the U-17 World Cup.

The youth team, under the guidance of coach Hussein Abdel Latif, faced teams from South Korea, England, Colombia, and Canada during their journey in the tournament.

Preparation for the Gulf U-17 Cup

The team is also preparing to participate in the Gulf U-17 Cup, which will begin on October 17 in Qatar, marking the final stage in their preparation for the World Cup.

The draw for the U-17 World Cup, which will kick off on November 19, revealed that Egypt has been placed in Group A alongside Qatar, Panama, and Greece.
