This 1,639-piece LEGO Red Bull RB20 is filled with functional F1 technology.

Max Verstappen's 2024 championship-winning Red Bull is among the most sought-after Formula 1 models ever produced by LEGO. While its real-world counterpart wasn’t as overwhelmingly dominant as the RB19, it did lead Verstappen to his fourth F1 title. It remains available for purchase, should you want to add a piece of F1 history to your collection.
What is it?
The LEGO Technic Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20 F1 Car is a sizable replica of the vehicle that Verstappen piloted to his most recent world title in 2024, achieving victory in nine grand prix events.
Comprising 1639 components, it carries an age recommendation of 18+. Once fully assembled, it spans an impressive 64cm in length, 25cm in width, and 15cm in height, making it an excellent showcase item with intricate details for those who take a closer look.
How much does it cost?
In the UK, it retails for £199.99 and $229.99 in the United States. It debuted in March 2025 and is still available at LEGO.com. However, due to its high demand, it's currently sold out at many retailers.
What does it do?
Technic vehicles are serious creations, and the RB20 is no exception. It features:
- A V6 engine with operational pistons and a rotating MGU-H
- A two-speed gearbox with a neutral position, linked to a rear differential
- Steering that simultaneously turns both the front wheels and the steering wheel
- Pull-rod front and push-rod rear suspension, mirroring the real car
- A rear wing equipped with a DRS flap that can be manually opened
- Detachable rear bodywork for engine visibility
The tires even showcase printed Pirelli branding, while the livery consists of two sizable sticker sheets.
What is the build like?
The set is organized into 10 bags, with each one dedicated to constructing a specific section of the car. The rear suspension, engine, nose, and sidepods are crafted with remarkable attention to detail. However, keen-eyed fans may notice that the front and rear tires are of identical size, unlike the actual car, and the colors are not entirely accurate. Despite these minor discrepancies, this LEGO model is a must-have for any F1 enthusiast.
Is there a cheaper option?
Indeed, but it lacks the comprehensive features of this full-scale Technic model. The LEGO Speed Champions version includes 251 pieces and features a Red Bull driver minifigure. It retails for approximately $27 in the US, making it a more economical choice for those wanting to build a representation of one of the most visually appealing cars from the ground effect era.
