Transfer Market: Gaya Merbah makes a notable return to Morocco!

Shortly after leaving JS Kabylie, Gaya Merbah has quickly found a new challenge. The Algerian goalkeeper will return to a league he already knows well.
Just a few hours after the official announcement of his departure from JS Kabylie, Gaya Merbah has secured a new club. The 32-year-old Algerian goalkeeper will continue his career in Morocco, where Hassania Agadir confirmed his arrival in the afternoon.
Earlier in the day, JSK announced the mutual termination of his contract. “JS Kabylie informs its supporters that Gaya Merbah is officially leaving the club,” the Kabyle team communicated, adding that the separation occurred without any compensation related to the remaining duration of his contract.
Merbah joined the Canaries in 2024 and played 22 official matches for JS Kabylie, including 19 in the league and three in the CAF Champions League. His journey was notably interrupted by a serious injury before he returned to the field last season.
The goalkeeper is not new to the Moroccan league. Before his time at JSK, he had already represented Raja Casablanca and then Ittihad Tanger, where he established himself as a starter. With Hassania Agadir, Merbah begins a new chapter in an environment he knows well.
