Two players are receiving treatment in the intensive care unit after a horrific car accident in Egypt.
Ahmad Zaki and Khaled Sidiq, players for Egyptian clubs Ghazl El Mahalla and ENPPI respectively, were involved in a car accident that left them with serious injuries, necessitating their transfer to a hospital for treatment.
The statement continued: "We ask everyone to pray for them during this time, asking God Almighty to grant them a quick and complete recovery, and to protect them and return them safely and healthy to their families and teammates."
The media centers of both clubs reported on Tuesday that the players are currently in the intensive care unit, where they are receiving necessary medical care under constant supervision from the medical team.
Both clubs issued a joint statement following the accident, expressing their wishes for the players' swift recovery, stating: "We extend our heartfelt wishes for the speedy recovery of players Ahmad Zaki and Khaled Sidiq following their car accident that resulted in severe injuries."
