Ghana is back at the U17 Women's World Cup after missing the last edition. In their return, the Black Maidens will find themselves in Group C, alongside Canada, Brazil, and Norway.

Ghana participated in 6 consecutive editions from 2008 to 2018. The team managed to reach the quarter-finals at least 3 times and played in a semi-final before winning the bronze medal in 2012.

Since then, the Black Maidens have faced difficulties in a competition they know well. This year, they will have to contend with rivals who are also aiming to secure their first medal on the global stage of U17 women's football. The competition kicks off against Norway on October 18. Following that, the Black Maidens will face Brazil in their second match before concluding the group stage against Canada.
