In Benin's defeat to Poland (1 – 4), Romaine Gandonou stood out. The talent of this 15-year-old player made a strong impression. She indeed scored the goal for Benin with an exceptional free kick from outside the penalty area. Although the team was eliminated in the group stage, Benin could be rewarded thanks to its player.
