This year marks the 10th edition of the U20 Women's World Cup. North Korea, the two-time defending champion, has won the most titles. Let's look back at the historical results of this competition.

The first edition of the U20 Women's World Cup took place in 2008. Since then, this biennial women's football event has become annual. North Korea, which triumphed in the inaugural edition, also claimed titles in 2016 and the last two tournaments.

During the early editions, Asia exerted strong dominance. North Korea and South Korea shared the title. France and Spain are the only nations outside Asia to have been crowned champions of the U20 Women's World Cup.
