Amine Gouiri is entering a crucial phase of his recovery after being sidelined due to an injury with the national team. Recent updates from Marseille suggest a positive outcome before the league resumes.

The international break has left some scars for Olympique de Marseille. While Bruno Genesio's players have returned to La Commanderie to prepare for the resumption of Ligue 1, several key players are still missing. Among them is Amine Gouiri, who returned early from the national team after sustaining an injury with Algeria.

The Algerian international was forced to leave his teammates in the 18th minute during the match against Zambia (3-1) in the first round of the CAN 2027 qualifiers. Subsequent examinations revealed a muscle strain in his left thigh's quadriceps. This injury forced him to leave the national team camp and continue his treatment in Marseille.

According to reports from L’Équipe and Ouest-France, this absence does not currently jeopardize his availability for the next OM match. The Phocaeans are set to return to competition on October 11 against ESTAC Troyes, and Gouiri could be fit enough to rejoin the squad by then.

This prospect is good news for Bruno Genesio, who could regain one of his most crucial attackers since the start of the season. With four goals and one assist in five Ligue 1 matches, Gouiri had made a strong start to his campaign before this incident.
