Video: Two Real Madrid players apologize to a child after "the inaccurate shot"
Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni accidentally struck a child in the stands with a poorly aimed shot during the team's match against Racing Santander in La Liga on Sunday.
As soon as the match ended, Tchouaméni met with Maximo and his father, gifting him his jersey, according to footage that circulated online.
Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé also participated in this humanitarian gesture, welcoming the child and his father and taking pictures with them.
Mbappé jokingly told Maximo: "The mistake is Tchouaméni's fault; he doesn't know how to shoot."
The child's father later confirmed in statements published by the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca" that Maximo is "completely fine" and that it was "just a momentary scare," expressing his gratitude to the Real Madrid players.
The royal team secured an easy 3-0 victory over their hosts Racing, with goals from Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and Jan Dhamandi, marking their sixth consecutive win across all competitions.
Real Madrid, currently in third place, reduced the gap to league leaders Barcelona to 3 points and sits just 1 point behind second-placed Atlético Madrid, while Racing remains in 16th place, just 1 point above the relegation zone.
The child, named Maximo Javier, burst into tears from the force of the shot and the sudden shock, but the momentary pain turned into a special memory thanks to a wonderful humanitarian gesture from the players of the royal team.
