Wael Riad: Winning the North African Cup was thanks to the support of the Football Association and the determination of the players and coaching staff.

Wael Riad, coach of our national team for players born in 2007, expressed his joy at winning the North African qualifying cup and qualifying for the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.

Riad thanked the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Football Association, led by Engineer Hani Abou Rida, for their continued support of the team and coaching staff during the past period, praising the significant efforts made by the coaching staff and players to achieve this success.

The youth team's head coach confirmed that the victory and qualification represent an important step, emphasizing the need to continue working hard in the upcoming period in preparation for the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, and to exert maximum effort during the tournament to achieve the team's goals.

Result of the Youth Team Match Against Algeria

The Egypt U-17 team managed to defeat the Algeria U-17 team in the match that took place today, Tuesday, in the fifth and final round of the North African qualifiers for the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.

Mahmoud Salah scored the opening goal for the Pharaohs in the 21st minute of the match, and Anas Rushdi doubled the team's lead by scoring the second goal in the 81st minute, securing the points for the Pharaohs.

Egypt tops the qualifying table with 9 points from 3 wins and 1 loss, followed by the Moroccan team in second place with 7 points, having also secured qualification alongside the Pharaohs.
