Will Zamalek benefit from the revenues of the Bizerra deal to start discussions on renewing Ahmed Fattouh's contract?
Ahmed Fattouh, the left-back for Zamalek's first team, is set to meet with the club's management soon to discuss the renewal of his contract, which is due to expire at the end of the current season.
A source told "Youm7" that the contract renewal process for Ahmed Fattouh may see developments in the coming period, especially after Zamalek received a financial boost from the sale of Brazilian player Juan Bezerra to Al Ahli Club in the UAE. The club aims to use part of the proceeds to settle outstanding financial dues for its players before moving on to renewal matters.
Ahmed Fattouh Welcomes Contract Renewal with Zamalek
Ahmed Fattouh has expressed his willingness to stay with Zamalek and renew his contract, but he hopes for an adjustment in the financial terms of the new deal to reflect his performance with the team, in addition to receiving a suitable financial compensation as part of the new contract details.
Zamalek's management had postponed making a decision regarding Fattouh's contract renewal until the announcement of the new sporting director, which is expected during the international break. The new sporting director will be responsible for negotiating with the player in collaboration with the club's management.
It is anticipated that there will be a meeting between Zamalek's management and Ahmed Fattouh in the near future to discuss the details of the new contract, especially since the player will have the right to sign with any club during the upcoming winter transfer window if no agreement is reached regarding the renewal.
This comes at a time when Zamalek considers settling the outstanding financial dues for players as a priority, following the proceeds from the Bezerra deal, with plans to allocate part of the amount for this purpose before proceeding with the renewal of several players' contracts.
