A source from Zamalek SC clarified the financial situation regarding Hossam Abdel-Maguid, the former defender of the team who is currently with Bulgarian club Ludogorets. Abdel-Maguid sent a notice to the club demanding his dues, which are reported to be 800,000 Egyptian pounds.
The source told Youm7 that the 800,000 pounds is not overdue payments for the player, but rather a deduction made according to the team's regulations, which state that 10% of a player's contract is deducted if the team fails to win two or more titles in a season.
The source added that there is another clause related to bonuses for participation with the Egyptian national team, which stipulates that bonuses are paid if the player exceeds 50% of international appearances, a condition that applies to Hossam Abdel-Maguid, in addition to other deductions related to delays and fines for receiving yellow cards during official matches.
The source confirmed that Hossam Abdel-Maguid currently has no overdue payments from Zamalek SC, as he received 1,500,000 pounds on September 23.
