Zinedine Zidane has often praised Cristiano Ronaldo (41 years old) for his achievements. The French coach worked with the Portuguese superstar for several years at Real Madrid, which is currently facing challenges with the national team.
Ronaldo drew media attention recently after leaving Portugal's training camp, unhappy with his substitution. Zidane chose not to address this incident, preferring to highlight past successes. "What he has achieved is remarkable," said the French coach at a press conference.
Zidane spoke about Ronaldo's impressive career, with whom he worked at Real Madrid from 2016 to 2018. Their partnership led the Merengues to experience one of the most glorious periods in the club's history. Under the French coach, the Merengues won the Champions League three consecutive years: in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
"It is essential to pay tribute to his incredible career. I was fortunate to have him by my side, as he helped me achieve exceptional titles. Congratulations to Cristiano! I have always had immense respect for all players, but even more for those with whom I shared the pitch. And especially for Cristiano, who contributed to so many of our successes."
