The Spanish newspaper “Marca” praised the outstanding performance of Moroccan player Yassir Al-Zubairi with Racing Santander, after he scored his seventh goal in eight rounds of La Liga, equaling the scoring records of Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, and Sergio Camilo.

The Moroccan forward continued his impressive form by netting a goal against Valencia on Sunday, reflecting his strong start with his new team, which he joined on loan from Stade Rennais, becoming one of the team's key attacking options.

The Spanish newspaper reported that Al-Zubairi quickly adapted to Racing Santander and established himself as a key offensive player for the team, starting the competition impressively with three goals against Elche, two goals against Alavés, and one goal in the match against Barcelona at Camp Nou, before adding his seventh goal against Valencia.

With this number of goals, Al-Zubairi is now tied with Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, and Sergio Camilo in the top scorers' list, which is led by Raphinha with 12 goals, according to “Marca.”

The same source added that the management of Racing Santander does not rule out the possibility of making an offer to Stade Rennais, which holds the player's contract, to ensure priority in retaining his services, given his performance since the start of the season.

Al-Zubairi caught attention during the Under-20 World Cup, where he was the tournament's top scorer, helping the Moroccan national team clinch the title, and he also made his first appearance with the senior national team during the current international break.
