Rayan Cherki has addressed the criticism following France's victory on Monday in the Nations League. The Manchester City player did not hold back.

Rayan Cherki is currently facing scrutiny from the French public. The former OL player attributes his dip in form to an adjustment period in his new roles. He believes he needs time to acclimatize to his new position and regain his best form. “You’ve discussed my dribbling and passing, but right now I’m focusing on delivering complete and clean matches. True football aficionados understand this. Those who think otherwise are missing the point; I’m learning to play in a new position. I need to produce consistent and polished performances, and it’s a role I enjoy. Over time, you’ll see that it will become easier for me,” Cherki indicated to TF1 after the match against Belgium.

Starting on the bench, Rayan Cherki made a significant impact upon his introduction. He netted the second goal for France in the 81st minute, assisted by Michael Olisé. This provided him the chance to address the speculation surrounding a potential discord between himself and the Bayern player.

“We have an incredible team cohesion. You may not see it, as it’s behind the scenes, but I’ve rarely experienced a group that plays so well from the first player to the last. From the first member to the last member of the staff, it’s fantastic, and you can feel it on the pitch,” he shared.
