Alejandro Garnacho has not linked up with the Chelsea team for pre-season as the Premier League side actively seeks to offload the winger, according to BBC Sport.
Chelsea commenced pre-season training on Thursday for those first-team players not participating in the World Cup, but Garnacho was missing from the sessions at Cobham.
This scenario highlights the 21-year-old’s precarious position at Stamford Bridge following a disappointing season after his £40m transfer from Manchester United on a seven-year deal.
Chelsea values Garnacho at around £43m (50m Euros) but will consider only permanent offers, despite interest from Serie A club Roma regarding a loan.
Clubs from the Premier League, Europe, and Saudi Arabia are also reportedly interested, with discussions ongoing and progressing with various parties. Manchester United is entitled to 10% of any transfer fee.
Garnacho netted just one Premier League goal in 24 appearances, with 10 of those as a substitute, struggling to secure a regular starting position under Enzo Maresca and subsequently Liam Rosenior.
Any potential departure is part of Chelsea’s squad overhaul this summer under new manager Xabi Alonso.

Chelsea has finalized the acquisition of full-back Marco Palestra from Atalanta for £47m and winger Geovany Quenda from Sporting for £40m.
The club has also executed two notable sales, with left-back Marc Cucurella transferring to Real Madrid for £52m and winger Tyrique George moving to Everton for a fee that could escalate to £24m.
The Blues are pursuing a centre-back, with Crystal Palace’s Maxence Lacroix among their targets, while Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarria is in discussions for a move to west London.
A significant number of departures are also anticipated, with Trevoh Chalobah’s representatives exploring opportunities with Italian clubs Inter Milan and Como.
Chelsea wrapped up last season in 10th place in the Premier League and is gearing up for a pre-season tour of Australia and Asia in the next two weeks.
