GFA relocates site for FIFA Women's Football Initiative in Volta Region
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has revealed a new location for the FIFA Women's Football Campaign set for Tuesday, July 14, 2026. The grassroots initiative will now occur at Dabala EP Park in the Volta Region starting at 8:30 a.m., replacing the initially designated WAFA Park. This campaign aims to gather hundreds of young girls for a day filled with football, enjoyment, and skills enhancement, as part of FIFA's worldwide effort to advance and broaden women's football at the grassroots level. In a statement, the GFA encouraged all participating schools, officials, and stakeholders to take note of the venue alteration and prepare accordingly for the event. The Football Association also confirmed that only the location has been updated, while the date and kick-off time remain unchanged. The FIFA Women's Football Campaign is part of the GFA's larger initiative to boost female involvement in football and discover young talent throughout the nation.
