Among the names being considered to bolster Al Ahly's defense is Hossam Abdel-Meguid, the current defender for Bulgarian team Ludogorets and former player for Zamalek, especially given his impressive performances recently.
Hossam Abdel-Meguid's name is expected to be presented to Moroccan coach Hussein Amouta, Al Ahly's head coach, for his opinion on the possibility of signing the player during the upcoming winter transfer window, with the decision to be made based on the coaching staff's vision and the team's needs.
Amouta's Defensive Options
Al Ahly currently has three players in the center-back position: Yassin Marai, Hadi Riyad, and Moroccan Achraf Dari, the latter having been close to leaving the Red Castle during the last summer transfer window.
Amouta will need to look for new solutions in the center-back position for the upcoming match against Abu Qir Fertilizers in the Egyptian Premier League, especially since Yassin Marai and Achraf Dari have not participated in any matches for Al Ahly this season.
