Nasarawa Amazons clinched the title of champions in the 2026 Nigeria Women’s President Federation Cup by narrowly defeating Heartland Queens 6-5 in a thrilling penalty shootout during the final held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Saturday.
This triumph marks the Lafia-based club's third President Federation Cup title, adding to their previous victories in 2005 and 2019.
Heartland Queens, in their inaugural final appearance, took the lead just a minute into the second half with a goal from Johnson Chizoba.

Nasarawa Amazons equalized in the 69th minute when substitute Judith Adaobi scored, bringing her team back into contention.
With neither team able to secure a win during regulation time, the outcome was determined by a penalty shootout.
Nasarawa Amazons maintained their composure from the penalty spot, converting six of their attempts to achieve a 6-5 victory in the shootout after Heartland Queens netted five.
Focus will now turn to the men's final, where El-Kanemi Warriors are set to face Ikorodu City for the title of the 2026 President Federation Cup.
