The twelfth edition of the African University Games "Cairo 2026" is taking place in Egypt from September 8 to 16, featuring students and youth from universities across the continent in a highly competitive atmosphere across various sports.
In the men's basketball matches, several strong contests were held, with the University of Parakou from Benin defeating the Higher Education team 87 to 53.
In another game, the Algerian University Sports Federation secured a victory over the Canadian University with a score of 85 to 38.
The Guinean University Sports Federation also triumphed against the American University in Cairo, winning 62 to 48.
In an additional match, the University of Johannesburg from South Africa achieved a victory over Al-Jalala University with a score of 69 to 16.
