The Egypt U-20 handball team returned to Cairo this evening, Sunday, after winning the Africa Championship title by defeating Tunisia 31-29 in the final match held in Ivory Coast. The team is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, Monday, at noon.
The U-20 handball team reached the final after a convincing 37-10 victory over Angola in the semifinals. They secured their place in the semifinals by defeating Libya 40-15 in the quarterfinals. The team achieved a series of consecutive victories, overcoming the Democratic Republic of Congo 38-15, then beating Congo Brazzaville 42-19, and finally winning against Cameroon 30-18.
