This Sunday, Senegal and Gambia played to a 0-0 draw at the Lat-Dior Stadium in Thiès, during the final matchday of Group A in the UFOA-A U17 tournament.
Both teams had numerous chances throughout the match, but neither was able to find the back of the net. Cheikh Oumar Sy and Amadou Assane Seck created opportunities for Senegal, while Gambia also hit the post in the second half.
This result allows the Lionceaux to finish at the top of Group A, remaining unbeaten in this group stage. Gambia finishes second and also advances to the semifinals.
Senegal can now focus on the semifinals, hoping to continue their journey in this U17 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament.
