Youssef En-Nesyri Shines with a Brace
Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri, striker for Al-Ittihad, delivered one of his best performances of the season, directly contributing to his team's 3-1 victory over Al-Faisaly in a match held on Friday evening as part of the seventh round of the Saudi Pro League.
En-Nesyri showcased his attacking prowess throughout the match, consistently threatening Al-Faisaly's defense before scoring his team's second goal in the 43rd minute while they were leading 1-0.
The "Atlas Lion" then netted his second goal and the third for his team in the 58th minute, taking advantage of his position inside the penalty area and firing a left-footed shot that found the back of the net.
Al-Ittihad's victories came after a match in which the team exerted offensive pressure, with Steven Bergwijn opening the scoring in the 28th minute. Al-Faisaly reduced the deficit in the closing minutes through Theo Bongonda, but En-Nesyri's goal provided Al-Ittihad with a comfortable advantage that helped secure the win.
With this victory, Al-Ittihad raised its points total to 17, maintaining its lead at the top of the Saudi Pro League table, while Al-Faisaly remained stuck at three points.
En-Nesyri's performance in this match sends positive signals to Al-Ittihad fans, especially as the team needs attacking effectiveness, having proven the Moroccan striker's ability to create chances and become a decisive player in front of goal.
It is worth noting that En-Nesyri has increased his goal tally in the Saudi Pro League this season to 4 goals, following his two goals in previous rounds against Al-Faihah and Al-Khulood.
