Houssem Aouar is making a strong impression in Saudi Arabia. After a promising start to the season with Al-Ittihad, the Algerian international has received accolades from Ahmed Al-Fraid. Speaking on Al Arabiya, the former Al-Ittihad player highlighted the development of the 28-year-old midfielder and his ability to take on responsibilities.

“He is a technical player with great confidence who constantly seeks solutions for his team. When he has the ball, he shows no fear against his opponents,” Al-Fraid said. He also appreciates Aouar's off-the-ball progress: “I see him improving with every match, and he also puts in defensive efforts to support the team.”

The statistics reflect this rise. Aouar has started in all six of the opening matches of the Saudi Pro League and has already been decisive twice, providing two assists. Al-Ittihad is also having a promising start to the season with 14 points, four wins, and two draws, currently placing them in 4th place in the league without suffering a defeat yet.
