Amid Great Anticipation, the Nature of Ben Taleb's Injury Revealed!

David Ancelotti, coach of French club Lille, revealed the reason for Algerian international Nabil Ben Taleb's substitution at halftime during the match against Real Betis in the opening round of the UEFA Champions League.

After the match, Ancelotti explained that Ben Taleb experienced vision difficulties that prevented him from continuing, prompting the coaching staff to replace him with Ngalaile Mokaw during the break.

Initial medical reports indicated that the Algerian midfielder suffered from "ocular migraine," with no more serious complications reported so far.

On another note, Le Petit Lillois reported that this health issue raised alarm among the medical staff, recalling that Ben Taleb had suffered a cardiac and respiratory incident in June 2024, returning to the pitch in February 2025 after undergoing a heart pacemaker implantation.

Although there is no connection between the vision disturbance and his heart issues, Ben Taleb's participation in the upcoming match against Troyes and his inclusion in the Algerian national team training remain uncertain pending comprehensive test results.
