Substitute Bruno Guimarães scored in the 58th minute, and Bukayo Saka added a second in the eighth minute of stoppage time via a penalty, allowing the defending champions to continue collecting points and raising their tally at the top of the table to 12 points, three ahead of Manchester City, last season's runners-up who are preparing to face their neighbors Manchester United in the Manchester Derby at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Spanish goalkeeper David Raya excelled by brilliantly saving a penalty taken by Frenchman Enzo Le Fee in the 56th minute, before Guimarães showcased his talent with a stunning strike that found the bottom corner of the net in the 58th minute, validating the decision of his coach, Mikel Arteta, to bring him on in the second half in place of Myles Lewis-Skelly.

The London side could have extended their lead with a shot from Saka in the 74th minute and a header from German Kai Havertz in the 75th minute, but Dutch goalkeeper Roben Rufs saved the first, while Dan Ballard dealt with the second.

A goal from Jurrien Timber was disallowed for offside in the 78th minute, while the second goal came in the seventh minute of stoppage time from a penalty awarded to Saka, which led to the sending off of defender Reinildo Mandava from Mozambique.
