Mouloudia of Algiers secured their place in the second qualifying round of the CAF Champions League on Saturday, defeating Niger's Ngiilik 5-0 at the Ali Labounet Stadium in El Madania during the second leg of the first preliminary round.
The first leg in Niger ended in a goalless draw, giving Mouloudia the advantage of playing at home in the return match, where they dominated and delivered an impressive attacking display that culminated in a comprehensive victory.
Coach Khaled Ben Yahia's players entered the match with a clear determination to qualify early, achieving this in the 17th minute when Konate opened the scoring, giving his team a crucial advantage and delighting the fans who filled the stands of Ali Ammar Stadium.
The Nigerian team attempted to respond, but Mouloudia maintained their lead, doubling it in the 68th minute with an own goal that made the path to qualification easier for the hosts.
Mouloudia did not stop at two goals; they continued their offensive pressure in the second half, scoring the third goal in the 76th minute through Bangoura. Just two minutes later, Boukhlada added the fourth goal as Ngiilik's defense crumbled, before Ndumoi capped off the scoring with the fifth goal in the 82nd minute.
